Animal Control director appointment approved by health and human relations committee despite some organizations’ concerns

Ald. Ruth Cruz (30), the sole no vote on the committee and the co-leader of the aldermanic letter calling for a national search, grilled Cappello and argued she should have worked to fix issues sooner.
